imaginary boyfriends, at least to me, aren't the result of a loveless life, making us desperate for any kind of heart heart. at least in my group of friends, imaginary boyfriends are taken rather seriously, and they are used to define each of us. my close group of friends is made of girls who are very unique, and our "imaginary boyfriends" define us even more. for example, one of my friends has this collection of boyfriends:
her collection shows that she likes MANLY, tough, leading men that will not cry. ever.:
jack bauer,
christian bale,
iron man (robert downey jr.),
david from the lost boys, the
T-800 from the terminator series,
hugh jackman's wolverine,
john smith,
captain james t. kirk, and probably some other characters i can't remember at the moment.
my other friend has this collection...she has a penchant for sidekicks:
sanosuke from rurouni kenshin,
dr. leonard mccoy,
eomer,
kocuum, and
marcus wright from the newest terminator, because he is the only thing worth watching the movie for. , and probably more guys that i don't know yet.
and here is myyy collection. heart heart heart heart less than three less than three less than three:
gambit, from x-men:
angel, from x-men:
the T-1000, the melty, liquid-y one from Terminator 2:
xerxes, from 300, it's actually more about rodrigo santoro and all that he encompasses:
ryan reynolds, and all that he encompasses, especially deadpool:
robert downey jr.'s sherlock holmes, when it comes out, because my other friend has got iron man:
pavel chekov, more of an anton yelchin thing and all that he encompasses:
spike, from buffy the vampire slayer, even though i've never seen the show:
aladdin. yes you heard me:

I'm kind of disappointed that you left me off the list.
Seriously though, where did you get that picture of Aladdin? It totally redefines the Disney genre for me
ALADDIN!!! xDDD
I'm wondering the same thing as the other guy. where did you get that Aladdin picture? HAHA. What if the kiddies got their hands on this? x]
@phantomFive - the picture is fanart by davidkawena, on deviantart. i put a link up. it kind of changed my perception of disney (as did puberty :P)
@ohheyyouoverthere - I LOVE ALADDIN. :D he's so full of attractive boyish charm and he wears MC hammer pants.
You really go for the sex magnets. That's my interpretation of your boyfriend choices
@phantomFive - wow. how did you interpret that :P? i'd like to know the thought process for that one haha.
Well, starting with Aladdin, of all the traits he has, strong, super brave, goes half way across the world for the girl he likes, kind........you chose the picture of him that is, well, erotic? Then Gambit has a look that just says, "come hither."
As for the others, they have a really vulnerable look in their eyes
@phantomFive - hahaha strong, super brave, kind, eh? yes he sure is which is why i lurrrve him. and I LOVE GAMBIT he is SUCH A MAAAAN. they all make me happyyyy. but how does that make them sex magnets??? haha
Someone who is strong, powerful, confident, kind, and yet has a little vulnerability in his eyes that only she can see is like sex candy to a woman. You just feel so warm and nice and free and comfortable in his arms. Is that too many adjectives?
Woah. I'm not going to lie, but I'm really creeped out by that picture of aladdin.
anywho...oh my gosh I used to be totally in love with gambit.
One of my friends and I have imaginary boyfriends. Mine is jake ryan from sixteen candles. I love him!
Gambit is the man! Didn't much care for him in the Wolverine movie tho :[
Sweet list, thinking of who i would add in mine.
@phantomFive - ahhhhhhhh now i see it. you make a valid point--maybe you're right about the sex magnet bit :P
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas - haha yeah thats understandable. you should see some of the other pictures perhaps. the one of peter pan makes me giggle inside. and I LOVEEEE GAMBITTT he's sucha man.
@Lovely_reflection - ooo i heard he wasn't as good as he really is in the wolverine movie. i actually havent seen that either, i heard hugh jackman was the only thing worth it in it (except deadpool who i lurve as well :P). haha yes. imaginary boyfriend lists are necessary for life.
@ivorei - lol. I'm sure there are others that are worse. ;D
oh my gosh no one could understand how I could be in love with a cartoon...but gambit...he's more than a cartoon...lol.
I also used to have a crush on leonardo the ninja turtle...O_o that one I'll have to say was just weird. :)
Yeah, I think you just want sex.
@phantomFive - well i wouldn't take it THAT far :P.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas - it's ok, i know LOADS of people who have things for cartoons. one of my friends actually fancied simba from the lion king for a bit. it was funny. understandable, but still funny.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas - @ivorei - I have to admit, in all embarrassed seriousness, that my first crush when I was little was princess toadstool from mario kart. Her drawings were just so cute in the manual!
@phantomFive - lol.
@ivorei - that's funny. well he was a cute lion. :)
