  • re: severus snape

i always chuckle a bit when i come upon a girl who fancies prof. sev snape.  lately i've revived harry potter in my life.  i watched all the movies back to back--my life for about four days consisted of not much more than lying in my bed, watching a harry potter movie, going downstairs to nip something in the kitchen then coming back up and locking myself in my room (usually with a small paper plate of food and a plastic cup of juice) and continuing to watch.  once i finished harry p. and the order of the phoenix, i started to reread the books.  i'm already on h.p. and the half-blood prince, and as i read the parts about snape, my mind wandered further to harry potter and the deathly hallows.

alan rickman is one lucky son of a bitch.

snape is the character that every actor wants to play in a movie.  he is multi-faceted, badass, likeable despite the fact that the protagonist harry potter greatly dislikes him.  in the last two installments of harry potter movies, rickman is probably going to have the time of his life.  personally, when i was rereading h.p. and the sorcerer's stone, i had no idea that snape would rise to such an important level.  very honestly, i'm excited to see what rickman does with snape's character.  hopefully the past movies haven't botched his character up too much.

i would totally do young snape:

    present-day snape has the Thing.
